ADVICE & TIPS

PATIOS

With patios always try to buy the most expensive paving stone you can afford.

The price always reflects the quality of the stone.

The cheaper stone tends to be manmade and thinner. ( I would advise 18mm as minimum). If the stone is very thin you will need a lot of foundation, hardcore and hard work costing a lot of money you will never see. A decent paving stone will need less of a base costing less money so you can afford a bit more on the paving itself.

Never lay paving on sand alone. The weeds will push through the pointing in no time. Always lay on sand and cement.
